A Support Service for people over 65 years
What does the Telephone Support Service do?
- Offers a period of telephone support calls to provide encouragement and support following an event which has reduced confidence and motivation such as illness, bereavement, a fall, hospital admission etc.
- Offers regular telephone support calls for people who have minimal family or community support.
- We can phone you up to five days per week for a period of time, as suitable to you. Also, if you have any concerns or difficulties you can tell us about them and we will assist you with resolving them wherever we can.
- We can provide information about services and facilities available to older people in your area.
- We have useful information and helpful hints on a range of topics including details about common health concerns, how to keep warm in the winter, healthy eating and much more.
- In addition to the telephone calls you will receive regular reviews at your home of up to four times a year according to your individual requirements.
Who can benefit from this service?
If you are over 65 years of age, live in the London Borough of Ealing and any of the following apply:
- You need support following a life event that has reduced your confidence and motivation.
- You have very little family or community support. We can phone you to see how you are and help you if you have any concerns.
- In addition, if you have any general queries, you can call us on 020 8567 8017 between 9:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
